Imagine this happening to you...
One Sunday morning during service, a 2,000
member congregation was
surprised
to see two men enter, both covered from
head
to toe in black and carrying
submachine guns.
One of the men proclaimed,
"Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ
remain
where you are."
Immediately, the choir fled...
the deacons fled...
and most of the congregation fled....
Out of the 2,000 there only
remained around 20.
The man who had spoken took off his hood...
He then looked at the preacher and
said "Okay
Pastor, I got rid of all the
hypocrites... Now you may begin your service.
Have a nice
day!"
And the two men turned and walked out.
TOO DEEP TO NOT PASS ON...
*Funny how simple it is for people to trash
God .
and then wonder why the world is in the
condition it is today....
*Funny how we believe what the newspapers
say...
but question what the Bible says...
*Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven...
provided they do not have to believe, think,
say, or do anything the Bible
says.
or is it scary?
*Funny how someone can say "I believe in
God"...
but still Follow Satan (who, by the way,
also "believes"in God).
*Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes'
through e-mail and they spread
like wildfire...
but when you start sending messages
regarding the Lord, you think twice
about sharing.
*Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and
obscene pass freely through
cyberspace...
but the public discussion of Jesus is
suppressed in the school and work
place.
*Funny, isn't it? Funny how someone can be
so
fired up for Christ on
Sunday...
but be an invisible Christian the rest of the
week.
Are you laughing?
*Funny how when you go to forward this
message...
you will not send it to many on your address
list because you're not sure
what they believe...
or what they will think of you for sending it.
*Funny how I can be more worried about
what
other people think of me...
... than what God thinks of me.
Are you thinking?
Will you share this with people you care
about?
Or not?

Lessons on Life
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge
things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look
at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in
summer, and the youngest son in the fall.
When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe
what they had seen.
The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.
The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.
The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so
sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.
The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping
with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.
The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they
had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.
He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season,
and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come
from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.
If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring,
the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.
Moral:
Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season.
Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later
